As soon as I have cleared up my desk , I start cluttering it up again.
I think living on my own is in part the problem.
When my father was alive , I kept things better. ( sigh)

I really love this poem. It is amazing how messy a desk can get if you don't stay up on it. I make sure I clean it every day before I leave for the day. That way I don't walk into a mess the next day.
I love how this poem rhymes and flows to completion.

I loved this. I think you've captured the feeling of being overwhelmed by clutter so well. The way you describe your desk, with "one paper" quickly turning into a "stack" is perfect. . The line about the chair breaking under you adds a nice humorous touch. I love how you end with the decision to just let it go and go to bed! Great work!
