joyful bird sings
'here comes the sun'
with a chest full of hope. . .
as eyes glisten with unshed tears-
as mouths are taped from speaking truths-
as the body shivers in fear. . .
sorry, my imagination ran away and "finished" the poem lol!
cool haiku whispering of an optimistic future. . .
with uplifting word choices and smooth flow
thank you for sharing

I remember this song from my younger years. Thank you for sharing this beautiful poem and presentation with us. I enjoyed this entire presentation. Birds always have such a cheerful message for us.

I always enjoy your introduction of song titles into your verse ( I would wouldn't I?:)) because they add their own special musicality. And a lovely gem of imagery with your "chest full of hope." Thanks for sharing. Debbie

Very descriptive and well expressed poem based on the picture. The song is one that I know well, one that I still sing and fool myself into to thinking that I have an excellent shower singing voice. My wife, bless her heart for putting up with it. lol.

I love that song! And here where it rains for most of the year, it's really something to see the sun. Thanks for the poem of hopefulness. We can see it more in nature.

Thank you very much, big sister. I'm sorry it has taken me so long. I haven't felt like doing anything, just waiting two posts a day.
I love the Beatles songs. I don't have any I don't like, and they are easy to sing too.
I hope you had a good weekend. Micaela, nick, and Atticus went to Disneyland so it's very quiet.
Love you,
Marival

This is a bright and shiny poem full of color. I guess the birds do here comes the sun. I never quite looked at it like that before. You're brilliant.
Great job
