So true! It's no mistake that the tree in the Garden of Eden played big roles for humans from food to learning obedience to God and finally, justice and redemption was fulfilled by Christ on a tree. Trees are very special to God.

Like a mother or father who love their children, there is a time to let them go. If not, how would they grow? Your verses remind me so much of what my wife and I felt as we let out son go off to college a long way from home.
Thanks for sharing.

I am guessing this poem is a metaphor for life. Yes, we need to let a lot of things go in our lives, even our children as they grow up. Thank you for sharing this beautiful poem and presentation with us.

I never thought of it that way, but how sweet it is. You've really put a new slant on fruit trees, or any tree come to that. Well done, that was brilliant. I love those pictures, too. Love and hugs, :)) Sandra xx

I enjoyed the layers of meaning in this one. Yet you moved between singular and plural. It might be better as
trees know how to love
they don't cling to their fruit
they let them go (OR they let it go)
Very well presented.

i kept wanting to add "it lets them go" for the third line
but that could be just me - just read a little off...
other than that a great haiku with cool imagery and a twinkling tree...
thank you for sharing

You are right, an ' it' at the end sounds better. Thanks!

My first thought was that the fruit might be a metaphor for children and the need not to possess but to let them go free. Whatever the case, you pique interest and curiosity with your well crafted verse. Well done! Debbie
