Hi Melissa,
Hop you had a nice Thanksgiving.
I assume you put the hymn in your notes because it inspired you poem.
It is a good recap of what the poem says. It reminds us that faith brings us strength in hard times.
Keep writing and stay healthy
Have a great day.

This 5-7-5, My Hope, has the proper formatting and reminds the readers that the road to any future will be rough and treacherous. However, the destination makes the journey bearable.

Tis one was unexpected, Melissa. Lovely for sure. Just unexpected. I've probably missed it, but I have never read a faith poem written by you.
You, my tanka lady, are good at that as well. It seems so personal. I hope you are well.

I love the message of assurance imbedded in the poem. Trusting I God reassures us of deliverance and salvation amidst adversity. Well done, dear SuggarRay.

Thank you for writing this. Right now, I'm feeling down about the current election results. I know God will help us through thus. The picture is a good choice for the poem.

Forgive my lack of a six. This is beautiful, sacred and needed. I've been daily reminded of this hymn in these end times. Thanks you, I am blessed. My best for the contest too, dear Melissa.

-The syllable count is good, along with the topic.
-Good use of internal rhyme in line one.
-A positive message about not worrying
because He is always there.
-A good entry; good luck in the contest.

So striking picture to accompany your post. This contains such a comforting thought. God is there to see us through the storms of life. Great use of gnash and lash. They are not only rhyming but very descriptive. judi

Nice 5-7-5! You included a bit of rhyme, and your final line is a great statement of faith. I love the hymn, "The Solid Rock," one of my favorites. Great picture also. Have a blessed week. Carol
