Well, I've thought about you since Monday night, wondering what I could say, while stumped for answers. But looks like you've got a much better connection than me to get over just about anything. I guess, all I can say is, one of our cellar dwellers had to win. Thanks for sharing. Wish I had a six.

Ric, Thank you. Terry.
Comment from Peter Jarvis
Your story is compelling and thought-provoking, blending elements of science fiction and profound existential questions. The dialogue between the protagonist and The Creator provides a fascinating perspective on humanity's current trajectory and the urgent need for change.
The idea of a universal message for all of humanity to hear is powerful, and your narrative effectively conveys the importance of taking collective action to preserve our planet and foster peace.
Thank you for sharing this intriguing piece. It's a great example of how speculative fiction can address real-world issues and inspire reflection.

This is clever, well-written; succinct and to the point.
Would that it could happen.
But if that Zoom call came through, every nation on earth, as soon as the message stopped repeating, would blame the others for the action. Likely resulting in the biggest and most destructive war of all time.
Because, unfortunately.
We are human.

I wish for two things- one that this was not fantasy and is real; two that thecreator would come down and knock the heads of the those wo make weapons of mass destruction, and those presidents who indulge in wars..
Coming to think of ot I have a one more wish -that he would do a enetic engineering and make humans incapable of hate..

This is such a unique and therefore captivating story. It comments on issues in today's world. Good luck with it. A well deserved six stars! Happy writing and Merry Christmas!

Darn, Terry. I like the way you think because it makes me take a deep dive into my own brain... (It's dangerous to jump in shallow waters I know...)
I cozied up to the idea of a "creator" that is not God. Why not? God is God! He can have all the infrastructure of angels, messengers, and workers He wants!
The point (for me) is we don't' have to get hung up on which religion, which church, which specific belief...we're getting a CREATOR who is as distressed as we seem too numb to be that we're BLOWING it.
Personally? I'd nominate you for the one to share the warning that our clock is ticking, ticking, ticking to the world...
After all, you've written Christmas stories! And you're very believable and dare I say wise?
Yes, I do dare!
I channeled the spirit (metaphorically speaking) of John Lennon as I read this...
"Imagine"
I do!
"Change how you think about your fellow humans and your environment. You will not get another world. There will be no do-overs."
Generation after generation we look to our youngsters and systematically destroy the planet, which we MAY leave for them if it lasts that long... while teaching them that war is (what?) profitable? A valid way to settle border disputes? Some ego trip for maniacal leaders?
For the superior race on earth, we're really quite slow learners.
God knows!
(And so, I see, does this "creator" who is pleading with you to save us!)
Great read.
"The greatest thing you will ever give to the world is your commitment to leave what you find in better condition than the way you found it. Leave a single light in a place where there was once darkness so those coming behind you may see further and begin where you left."
-- Tonny K. Brown
Maybe we could start there?
Happy Christmas!

Tag! You're it is right. Nothing comes from nothing.....ever ... so this Creator is an interesting thought path.
On the other hand, if I could send a worldwide
Message it would be:
"Stop killing each other.." I may or may not finish it with a "Morons"
Sorry. Too many rabbit holes to run down on this one!

Interesting story. I love the concept of their being a creator who is NOT God. Very original. I made me think, maybe God has an organization, a structure, like a corporation or government, with different departments that handle specific tasks, like world creations, science, PR, time....
I also liked that you layered in the concept of Free Will. Would have liked to see you expand on that. Didn't care for the enviro lecture, personally, I think it's old, stale, and overdone. I'm probably as old as you and have heard that message since the day I brought home my 1st Arbor Day tree in 1st grade.
Lastly, on the Zoom call could the world see your face?

Wow! This is an imaginative and well written story. The Creator delivers a very powerful message that required lots of thought on your part. It was an innovative idea that The Creator and God were two different entities. However, the story is compelling and holds the reader's attention. Well done.

What a fabulous story, Terry, if only it could happen. The Creator. your character, was right about so many things, and we have used and abused this beautiful planet almost to the point of destroying it totally. We still might be too late to save it, the world is still at war. Well done. I enjoyed reading this. :))Sandra xx
