This piece, Slow Cooking, is a hilarious trip through the convoluted world of dating from the bizarre to the shake-n-bake. truly, one would be fortunate to get connected this way.

You're quick, witty, knowledgeable, and obviously hip, for lack of a better term, to the ways of the world. I'm sure most, if not all, of this is tongue and cheek self-disparaging is to entertain and amuse readers, while bringing attention to the heartbreak of the lovelorn. I'm sure most, me included, would enjoy your fantastic sense of humor for hours on end. Now I just wish I had a six to reward this outstanding post properly!
Thanks for sharing.

Oh my gosh, this was hilarious! Your recounting of speed dating had me totally hooked. I could practically feel your energy and humor bursting through, especially with your "research attitude" and how you turned the whole thing into a sort of personal travel agency. This was well written. Very enjoyable to read. Great job!

Thank you for sharing this contest entry with us. I had already decided I'm glad I'm not available to date in this society. After reading this I know I was right. Thank you for sharing and good luck with the contest.

Oh, heavens to Betsy! Iza, you never cease to amaze me with your stories, and this one is a real-life, honest one. Speed rating (or slow dating) just would not be for me. Everyone's got their miseries, and they can keep them. I'll just enjoy being me--just like you!

Whew! I'd never last for a minute in this "speed dating" situation. You always seem to keep your sense of humor. I did find out that Romanian has just about 10% Russian words but you're right, to me it sounds more like Italian. Let this little mama tell you - go to church to find a man!
Best wishes in the contest!

You have this part repeated in two places:
" How could've I competed with a guy that have five kids. Of course, when he told me that he was separated from his wife for 6 yrs but not divorced, the only thing that I said was: "What did you do? Did she ditched you when you said, are you ready for number six?" (ditch)
But a new paragraph later starts with:
" How could I compete with a guy that has five kids? Of course, when he told me that he was separated from his wife for 6 years but not divorced, I only said: "What did you do? Did she ditch you when you said, are you ready for number six?"

Oh you are so much more adventurous that I would even dare.... am so with you on the 'ridiculousness' of the dating apps... and oh my goodness! Speed dating sounds like a nightmare!! ;) Nooooo.... please don't go there in the 'can you bear children' thing... AAAACCCKK!! ;-) Really enjoyed reading more on your f***-it list, my lady -- still single and grinning over here! ;) Yvette
