This is a great poem. The picture speaks volumes all by itself. The poem and the picture compliment each other.

Question: Is this supposed to {bullits} bullets?

Good luck on your contest

Ooopppss...thanks ,I edited. My English is not up to scratch.

What's the use of America and Europe going full on eco /green when countries like Brazil, Bolivia, Colombia, and Peru, are destroying Earth's lungs?

Did you watched the video I provided in the note section ?

The Amazon Rainforests keep our planet's temperature balanced and the air we breathe clean.

And yet we trash and exploit our own home.

Your welcome. You have a great command of the English language. It's sad what they are doing to our rainforest.

Trees are protected in certain countries and in others, the forests are chopped down at will. We of course need our trees and when I visited the Amazon I was socked by the vast forests there, a fine post, love Dolly x x x

I read recently that trees in Sweden are dying despite it is not a very industrialised or populated country.

I envy you...my mother and I had a trip to Manaus in Brazil on our bucket list.... they have a sanctuary there for Squirrel monkeys.

    I'm sorry we didn't go.

I have visited Manaus in 2016, it is a dangerous city and you can easily be robbed in the street. They have the most amazing mini Opera House built by the Portuguese and I have some lovely pictures of it. A friend of ours had her gold necklace snatched from her neck! The shoes shops have all the shoes in cabinets. If you do visit, be prepares and don't take any valuables with you, love Dolly x

Pardon me for the late reply.

Sorry, your friend was robbed...my mother was robbed while she was in the markets in Spain, the thief ripped her bag off her shoulder.

For months she felt vulnerable when she stepped out.

Going to Manaus was something we wanted to do together...I wouldn't enjoy going on my own now.

I still appreciate the safety protocols you
    kindly suggested.

I think most of South America is a dangerous place to visit.
