Haiku will do that to you. It's long been both a passion and a curse of mine, such that I do try to write sonnets and longer pieces and only give in to the trial of minimalism when I can no longer resist.

An excellent entry for the 5-7-5 writing prompt. There are many of us who can relate to the message in this poem. I sometimes find myself saying words silently during the day and counting out the syllables for no reason. LOL thanks for sharing.
