Good cliffhanger at the end, which is, of course, THE way to propel a reader to want to continue on.

It's interesting to know what we know and watch Carey trying to piece it together. It's a neat concept, and I like it a lot. More times than not, mysteries and thrillers are done in a way that the reader is also kept in the dark. But the way you're doing it, for me, anyway, is more enjoyable. If strategic mistakes are made, we'll know them at once, and that's fun.

Nicely done, oh Master of the Macabre!! xoxox

Thank you, Rachelle, for this inspiring review, my friend. Master of Macabre! And they say food is the way to a man's heart. Lol. The funny thing is, I write first and think later. It's always been that way for me, and I'm not sure why. It's like a word floodgate opening all at once, flooding my senses.

It was nice to see Dodie Rae show some compassion towards Carey and the condition he appeared to be in. Her beef had been with Riley. She's smart, though, and immediately infers that Mama has acted up. Now I wonder if the cops will begin to suspect this too. You just took the story up a notch, Steve.

Thank you, Jim, for this excellent review, my friend. Maybe it's time that Dodie Rae flies under the radar. I have a tornado of ideas giving me vertigo, lol.

Dodie detained and unable to do the deed, now you've got their heads swimming on who the wolf might be. Teats like a milk cow and giant feet might be a clue. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

That is an interesting chapter. I wanted to read more to find out about about "Mama". Even though I am entering the story late it was well written and I picked up on the plot. The picture certainly adds to the mood of the story. I can't wait for the next chapter. gayla

You just keep sliding in new and interesting tidbits. I don't get Carey though, It has now been proven according to their rules that she didn't do it. So, she should have been released. I look forward to seeing your name come up for me to read. And, I appreciate the picture nod. Did you hear? I won two #1's One was blind so you have to go to my fan page to read it. Yippee I love October. Karen

Congrats on those wins, Karen. I'm proud of you and will read them soon. Carey isn't able to release Dodie Rae until she sees the judge for punching Riley in the eye. This book is so much fun to write, and quite a few twists are ahead.

It is nice to read someone as demented as me. That is a compliment by the way. Karen

Well, a least Bay Lynn has, at least diverted suspicion from Dodie Rae and she may get away with it, which would be a good conclusion anyway, and the only way that Dodie Rae will get away with it, even though Officer Riley has worked that one out, beautifully written Steve, happy belated birthday, blessings Roy

Thank you, Roy, for this excellent review and the belated birthday wishes. I'm not sure how Dodie Rae will feel about Bay Lynn taking matters into her own hands, but this has taken their eyes off of her for now.

Another excellent, fast moving chapter, Steve. I loved how you increased the tension at the beginning with Carey trying to save Office Riley's life. I'm wondering now how things will progress from her for Dodie Rae. Another excellent chapter, I enjoyed reading it.

Now, if the fact that Dodie Rae is locked up doesn't throw a crimp in their theory, nothing will. I liked the way you humanized officer Carey. He might not approve of his partners antics sometimes, but it's obvious he loves him like a brother. This was really good. I enjoyed. Gretchen

Thank you, Gretchen, for the beautiful six star review. Police partners are bonded like brothers, it seems, and theirs is strong. Dodie Rae needs to see the judge, but after that she should be cleared, we'll have to see, lol. I'm trying to get my reviews in early, the internet will be down for a couple hours later on.

Dodie Rae is in the clear, at least for now, but May identified a woman. Now what will happen. Bay Lynn now knows that Riley isn't the abuser but May is. I can't wait to read more.

Well, mum had taken the pressure off Dodie Rae for a while, but when Carey puts two and two together and comes up with Bay Lynn, it might change his way of thinking. I'm looking forward to the next part. Well done! Sandra xx

Thank you, Sandra, for the wonderful six star review, my friend. I have a few twists still to come. Carey will have to redirect his thinking and feel he may be back to square one.
