An excellent entry for the Dark Sonnet writing prompt. You did a very good job on your sonnet. Your syllable count and rhyme were all within guidelines as was the poems topic. You meter sounded good to me but I am still learning myself so am not in the position to judge yours. Loved the story line and especially the final line.

I honestly wonder how many murders have been committed, Crime de passionale, I believe there was a law in France that one could commit a murder like this and get away with, not sure about now though, a beautifully written sonnet Jennifer, an excellent post, good luck, blessings Roy

Hi Jessica,
I must echo SimianSavant's comment in that this poem indeed deserves more credit than it got. Beautifully constructed within the form it tells a dark tale of betrayal, murder and revenge. The image matches superbly. Very creepy. Excellent writing. Well done x

Brilliant rhyme with *kissed her* and *sister*. I don't know why so few votes were cast in this contest, and your entry deserves more credit than it got. There is a strong, clear narrative with no fluff words in this sonnet, and it boils to a devastating finish. Nicely done.

This sonnet, Pieces, has the proper formatting and truly takes the dark route to the passion killing, dismembering, and disposing of the grisly remains. Nice.

Wow! This is dark and in a subtle way very funny. Poetry usually bores me, but this made me giggle. It has a very elegant writing style, usually used in the opposite, in romance. Which makes the whole thing resonate even more. Plus it caters to the sense of justice. Serves them right was my thought after the giggles had died out. Thanks for this poem, it made my evening!

What a very poignant poem, a horror where blood and death is the call of vengeful anger. Well done, dear. Thanks for sharing your inspiration, and good luck in the contest.

This is an excellent dark sonnet and a great entry of the prompt. You tell the story with beautiful technique, the sonnet is a style I've not yet been able to master. Well done

Now that's an evil one! She felt the pain and allowed it to turn to the darest of rage and murdered them both, hiding them never to be seen again. Gave me the creeps which it was meant to do.
