Hello Gypsy! (Port Raid Review #1)
You have been selected by Eyepatch Patrick and his parrot Pookie for a PORT RAID, three consecutive reviews of your work. Once this review is done and I have a quick drink in your best tavern, I will move farther into your port to the things that you would love to promote but cannot afford to. I do this because I believe it is a tragedy that so many excellent posts sit dusty and unread for ages. If you like the idea of the PORT RAID, feel free to construct your own ship, befriend a parrot, and venture out into the vast FanStory ocean and the hundreds of inviting ports that await you!
---I have to say to begin that the beauty of all your presentations is astounding. You always pick the best images and merge all the color components so well! It really enhances your poetry as well. The top and bottom images are linked almost like a graphic Haiku! Bravo!
---The Haiku itself caters so well to the sense of smell. Nina's apple pies must surely set the countryside's tummy to rumbling! I love how your expressions are so united where every component reinforces the others. Beautiful work!
I had to give Pookie some Apple Crisps. He usually prefers Cheezits, but he couldn't resist the frangrance coming from Nina's house either! We are going to have a quick drink at the Sake Bar just off your port's marketplace and shall be back soon for another review!

Thank you, Patrick and Pookie, You are both welcome at my tavern... any time.
I agree with you, many poems are not reviewed because they are not promoted. I can't afford to promote more than every two or three days. I can't blame them. I wish I had time to review more poems but my time is limited to a few hours because I take care of my grandson and contribute to family's household tasks.
Another helpful and detailed review, I appreciate all the time and effort you put into it.
Gypsy hugs and blessings

At my grandma's and my mom's house, smelling homecooked meals and desserts always felt almost like love. I hope I give off the same feeling when my kids and grandkids come for a visit. Thank you for causing this memory with this wonderful poem.

That's so sweet. I wonder if Nina is the same as Italian Nonna for grandmother. There's something special about the smell of special treats made with love!

Yes, Nina is for grandma but only because Nona was taken by the other grandma. LoL
In Spanish is abuelita.
Thank you very much, big sister ❤️

Gypsy,
This is a very nice, tantalizing haiku. I love apple pie, it's been awhile since I've had apple pie as good as my mom's.
Nice Santori.
*im sorry I've been lax in your club; their was a fire in our kitchen, and all of us residents have been inconvenienced. No one got hurt, but part of the kitchen and its high ceilings have to be repaired. It's a slow process. I'll try to write a poem tonight.
Hugs,
Cindy

This poem was very evocative. I felt it was a safe place, where cherished memories are everywhere. I felt the season when apple pie just hits the spot. It's beautiful. Gretchen

There are certain aromas that we associate with love
They are lodged into our brains and trigger lasting memories. I can see that such a wonderful smell and beautiful place could truly make for a loving memory.

I love your versatile imagination, Gypsy! We've gone from battlefields to apple pie in the blink of an eye:)) I'm much more cheered now. The colours are dazzlingly bright as we start a brand new day with wholesome delights awaiting us. Thanks for sharing. Debbie

Thanks so much for your notes. They are most helpful and an education in Haiku. Your poem is very good. Got me right into the feel and completed the story in typical Haiku style.
Thanks for sharing and take care.
