I'm so sorry I missed this Sal, you are an amazing lady. To be told you are going blind and there is nothing that can be done... I can't imagine how hard that must have been for you. But, look at you now! It took a bit of time, but finding those love letters you wrote to Jack, was the start of a new beginning, and you grabbed it. I have nothing but admiration for you, my friend, and I just hope I could be as strong as you if something as devastating as that happened to me. Well done!! Love you lots, Sandra xxx

Sally that is a heartfelt testimony of your life and you being used of God, living in His perfect will. Thanks so much for sharing your story. I am going to save it in my bookcase to remind me. God bless you and Jack. You glorify Him using the gift He gave you so abundantly. You see Him so clearly.

Sally,
This is an awesome story and thank you for sharing it with us. I'm not so sure I could have the same positive outlook on life as you do. I guess that's the only way to survive though and faith in God.
Good luck in the contest

Hello, Sal.
This is a touching and interesting story you have written about your history. It is the story of overcoming, and accomplishment. I congratulate you on where you are today. You're right to point out that every day is a day in the Lord and sometimes we just need to trust. Now that I'm back, I will keep up with your writing. I look forward to seeing your comments about mine.

Wow! Thanks for sharing your story, Little Fan! It's nice to know how things happened, and how you overcame it all.
I remember how scared I was when I had my very first migraine attack. My migraines are the classic ones. They start as a bright pinpoint of light. They span out as seconds tick away. Mine usually form as a horseshoe of very bright light, like a pulsing neon light, gradually getting bigger and bigger until it passes out of vision over the top of my head. It plays havoc with my eyesight for about 30 minutes from start to finish. Then, the headache begins on the opposite side of my head. (If the "light show" was on the right side, the headache will be on the left side of my head. And vice-versa.) The first time it happened to me, I was 25 years old. My wife and days-old baby (Matthew) were in the hospital. He had an enlarged liver and spleen, pressing against his lungs. As soon as he was born, they knew something was wrong. He was sent for x-rays. So I was at work, stressed with worry, having my lunch, when I suddenly realized I couldn't see one of the men I'd been watching playing 45s at another table. He had disappeared from my vision altogether! It startled me completely.
With God's help we can overcome anything, but it takes time and courage, and faith. I'm sure you have used all of these, and are still using them. Relying on the Lord, resting in Jesus, stilling our souls.
Hugs,
Kimbob

Thank you so much for sharing your story. You've mentioned your eyesight issues a time or two, but I didn't know any details. I just thought that a person was either blind or not. I apologize for my ignorance.
(Your husband is right - you 'are' a great writer.)

That's a wonderful bio, Sally. :) I'm sorry about the eyes, but I sense someone was seeing you and made you better. They say that God works in strange ways, but always from the love of His heart. You inspire many writers, poets, and friends across the nation. May you always be you and God will bless you. Thank you for sharing a part of your life.
