That's a cool idea, but 'Ciao' has two syllables, according to Google.

Love your words. I am always delighted to come across a dog poem and I think this is the first one I have read about a chow. Excellent 1-6-1 form and use of words to create a canine verse.

Possibly it might be best if you chose another rhyming word for the the third line, something like bow, after all our dogs are ultra important to us, beautifully written, great idea, good luck, blessings Roy

How do I justify rating this higher than I should? I appreciate the wordplay here, but I'm not sure if it technically counts as rhyming, even if the context of the words is different, though they are spelled the same.
