Wow! I can see this as the plot of a TV movie or an episode of a crime drama, which makes it that much more upsetting to accept that this dramatic fictional storyline actually took place in real life. What a horrible experience to have to go through, especially at the hands of your own family. It definitely prompted me to go back and read the published chapters of Lea's book, of which I'm more than halfway through.
I'm thrilled for her that she's gotten a book deal with a major publisher, and you're exactly right that that makes her a poster child for the rest of FanStory's would-be published authors. Her incredible strength and self-reliance come through so clearly in all of her answers and descriptions, and you do a masterful job of gearing your questions so that her answers will have the greatest impact on the reader. I wish her a world of success with her life (and safety) in general, and with her book.

Well, it's certainly good to hear that someone made it happen out there -- and what an awesome interviewer you are, Red -- are you sure you're JUST teacher/author? :) :) Great offering and lots of good advice to follow here -- thanx for sharing her with your pen! ;) Yvette

I have to say, if it was going to be anyone, it would be Lea. She is a most unusual person in that, even after all the complete and total bullshit she has been made to endure throughout her life, she still remains so positive and kind and fun-loving.
Thanks for this very, very nice review, my Southern Charmer!! xoxox

Super interview with a super interviewee. Excellent construction. And it WAS very kind of Lea to give us some of her time.
As an American, though, I would suggest she replace the hatchet with a Glock.
Best wishes.

I followed Lea's devastating story, and was glad she found a publisher. Thank you for this follow-up interview. Lea has a remarkable spirit that grows stronger with every adversity. I'm amazed she still has problems with her family. Thanks to your fantastic interviewing skills, we can still be inspired by Lea's strength.

I don't know Lea but am pleased to read her story. you did a fine interview with great questions. It is hard to comprehend that her story could actually happen but here we are. She must be an incredibly strong person. I will check out her writings. Thanks for sharing her with us.

Hi Rachelle.
Having not been here, I was not aware of this story. This is a remarkable piece. Not only is the story fascinating, but the origin and continuing odyssey is magnetic. You did a service with this work. I am happy to know you on this forum. Thank you for what you have done.

It's been my experience that when you bring ugliness into the light, it runs away. So the more people who hear of the horrors her high-placed family has done, the fewer places they can hide or continue their horrific behaviors.
Thank you for reading this and getting on board with the indignation of it all. That makes a big difference, and I appreciate you. xoxox

Every time you write someone sighs like a Hippo... you're getting a minimum of six stars!!! You may not believe this, but I seldom run out of six-star awards.

Wow! It just leaves me gob-smacked to think of all the original incidents involved in the story, along with this intriguing tale of surviving the publishing. It makes me want to get my pickup going to sideswipe a few bad actors.

Rachelle! What can I say my friend? There's nothing to say. No words, adequate enough to express my heart to you for all of your support. I say it with a full heart and express to everyone here too how much all of you helped me.
Rachelle you were right. I was scared, not just how would be received, but how I would put it out there and if it would be something to read. I didn't think anyone would really care. Additions of rotten tomatoes and yucky potatoes, same tossed in my direction going, don't write anything! I wasn't anyone would believe it, such was the roller coaster of my life. Yeah, here we all are Rachelle and all the people I remember so fondly and say, I haven't gone away. I just took a little pause so I could pop out this book, move and make some safe guards. I will post something tonight and then again soon.
Regularly, as booked two is written, as I edit the chapters, I'll pump them out. Your advice has always been important to me and remain so all of you Rachelle, everyone here.
For a wonderful interview, Rachelle done the way only you could do it, I thank you! I look forward to interacting with all of you again! Thank you all! Lea

It's your indomitable spirit that captivates us all, Lea. The way you take adversity and turn it to you advantage is nothing short of mesmerizing. You are untouchable - just this spirited FORCE that will not take "nobody cares; no one will believe you" for an answer. Where other people see obstacles, you see challenges...and you never met a challenge you couldn't defeat. We have all learned SO much about how to be the champion of our destiny from you. We all think you're remarkable. xoxoxo

Fabulous interview with Lea, Rachelle. I've been wondering what's been happening with her, as I haven't read anything by her in quite some time. I'm so glad you have the type of relationship with her that you have and was able to bring us this captivating interview.
Unbelievable how troubled her life has been and continues to be, but it's such a relief that she is finally finding a wide-ranging outlet for her story and the satisfaction of knowing that she is finally believed despite all the efforts of her family to suppress her story.
You have been a wonderful friend to her and really helped her with her goals, Rachelle. And we all thank you for that.

She's such an amazing trouper. She's still so positive and so nice to everyone - always friendly and cheery. She is just a joy to be around and also to work with. So I was happy to bring her newest "chapter" to the fore again. She's put so much elbow grease into it and literal blood, sweat and tears, too. The least I can do is write about it here where her story-telling began! I've been so heartened with the response. Everyone remembers her so fondly and wishes her the best.
Thanks for this terrific review, Jim. I always appreciate your warmth. xoxox

I remember Lea and I read all of her posts at the time. Her story was so awful as her childhood was very abusive and at a very young age she learned to fend for herself. I wondered what happened to her and you filled in some of the gaps here Rachelle, I am so glad you have been in touch with her.
I am sorry to hear she has suffered at the hands of her family again as she has exposed their terrible abuse and once again she has put herself in danger. I hope she can now live in peace and appreciate the good things in her life and I will read her new story with renewed interest.
You managed to interview her so well here as she reveals how life is for her just now and I liked the wonderful picture of Lea as she is such a pretty lady.
Thank you for sharing this with us Rachelle, love Dolly x

You're welcome. And thank you for this enthusiastic and delightful review. Were there any points I missed? Anything that, after you finished reading it, you said, "Oh, I wish she'd mentioned..." That's always my "Big Question" when I present an interview. Did I leave any questions unasked.
