The rhyme scheme, the dialect, and the bit of humor make this a wonderfully reimagined nursery rhyme that adds so much character to such a simple tune. Admittedly, I do think it is a bit drawn out, but I don't think that's enough to fully detract from the thought that went into this well-written work. Wonderful job!

What a great Christian name, it's my surname. I still remember being addressed by that name, IN ANGER by those old Marist Brothers. It went something like this. "Get out here, Cullen."
It still triggers fear, and pain. Generally, it preceded pain, and a series of sex savagely administered collisions between my hands and their deliverer of justice, a four-foot CANE. Those memories still inflict significant distress. I think I need a lawyer.

I love how you shared such heartfelt story. The playful moment at the dance with the cha-cha was so sweet. The storytelling was fantastic in such a unique format. You've got such a natural flow here, and I really enjoyed the journey through the memories. Beautifully done!

I see this is an interesting acrostic poem which in the first column reads with some letter omissions:
Mary had a little lamb [litt] le lamb but there is so much more to the story [the]re's a lot more to the tale.

And your poem seems to be less about Mary and maybe more about people owning things and not giving God credit for owning everything.

I always thought Mary was quite the carnivore and she had a little lamb, a little ham, a little beef...

I must apologise, there was a gigantic stuff up in this posting. I'm now attempting to locate where I lodged the original work. Too much wine does terrible things to my postings.

I suspect if I study this piece long enough I might decode what the singular column on the right might say, but there are other reviews to do, so if you want me to be in the know, show me the answer please.
