I wouldn't have missed this chapter for the world. Your descriptions are so thorough that I felt the anxiety of Bryce and Henry when they discovered William was gone. Plus, you kept the suspense going when William disappeared into thin air. That was an unexpected twist. William outsmarted Garth...for now. The story is so close to the end, and you give us yet another mystery. Genius!
Yay! With no internet all week, I have all my sixes.

You are so wonderful to me and I knew you would love this chapter and I think the next as well. I am so blessed to hear what you think and to know how much you enjoy what I write. Thank you with all my heart.

Laughing at those two scaredy-cats folded like a cheap suit...and yet what is this? William did manage to slip through unanticipated cracks!
It's not nice to fool Mother Nature ~ or GARTH!
That handsome hunk of authority and uncanny ability will save the day!

Okay, sweetie, you are about to read the final chapter and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did writing it. A few surprises I am sure. It's been a blast and I hate to say goodbye to Eleanor but it's only for a little while I think.
thank you for catching up on all these chapters. I appreciate it so much. Love ya, Carol

Eleanor will be back! I'm not wrong about that, am I? She's such a wonderful character wielding charm and wit as she foils every bad guy she encounters!
-
If the story unfolds like I hope it will, I see all of our main characters involved, including wonderful Eleanor. But the stories will evolve around them more, much like the first story, I think. I have a rough idea but nothing concrete.

Lucky for me I know you. Two weeks to rustle up a plotline is like an eternity for mere mortals! You wrote a novel in thirty days for goodness' sake!
-
Twice! And the third time is in November but now I learned I will be going to North Carolina for a few weeks so I'm not sure how that will work with my writing. Guess we see.
-
Oh? You'll see the grands? That's fantastic!
-
Yes, they are very excited which makes me very happy. I have to see if I can send you a picture of Keyanna and Cam (Oldest and youngest) It was Homecoming this weekend....She's beautiful and the little one is growing like a weed.

I'd love it!

I can really feel Garth's frustration, particularly at being stopped at the gates moments from catching their suspect. This was a really tense scene, Carol and you really kept me hooked. I'm wondering just how William managed to escape. I can't wait for the next chapter.

Well, that was a real smooth and sneaky slip that William gave Garth. I'm sure that Garth is not used to missing someone he is chasing down. Too bad that Danni didn't invisibly follow William. She'd be better than any tracker.

It's always fun to see Garth and Tango in action making things somewhat of a carry over from way back when, again. LOL. And we don't have to worry, they will always get their man, just like Barney Fife. Well, more like Columbo. Thanks for sharing.

Yes, Garth and Tango have made a great team for many many a book. Thank you for remembering. The final chapter on this one is posting tomorrow. It's long but I hope worth it.

An excellent chapter, and it shows that the goodies don't always succeed on the first go, as some of the baddies are always one step ahead. Very realistic, and very well-written.

Thanks, Wendy! Yes, William was one step ahead of everyone including his partners (who he left holding the bag) and our Garth. Now I know that wont set very well with him. I am pleased that you have enjoyed the story.

Oh wow, what a twist!! I knew something had to be coming. You are too good at the twists for it all to be over with so tidily. So, William gave them the slip, and the look on the men's faces!!! Slick stinker!!
And they almost had them all. Got to wonder at the part about the about the hotel being wiped clean. Well, I guess he didn't worry about his comrades.
Great job,
Hugs,
Rhonda

Nope! William was out for number one and already had an escape plan prepared and left his "buddies" behind. And his power and wealth will get him places others could not go. Garth won't be a happy one for this!

Showed his true character, didn't he??

Great chapter! There's so much excitement going on in this one. It looks like Bryce was correct about William's ability to slip through the cracks. But it sounds like there was already a plan in place. Hugs! Carol

Yes, William is a very powerful man with connections everywhere. He never intended to get caught with Bryce and Henry. But where did he go? I'm sure our cowboy will track him down but it might take a while. Thanks so much for enjoying the story and for the stars. You are awesome.
Smiles, Carol

Well, I'm sure the next chapter or two will reveal where William has gone! LOL.
I'll wait for it.
Comment from Ulla
Wow, so he got away with it. Well, up to a point. They are calling his bluff. If he's still on American soil they have jurisdiction.
I just love this story. So much action and suspense. Can't wait for the next, and final? chapter. Hugs, Ulla xxx

I sent this with the other chapter but the ghosts are at it again... Eleanor and Danni like to hear their accolades more than once. LOL I am thrilled you loved the story and for the stars... the last chapter is underway and I hope you enjoy it as much as I think I will. The German Consulate might not be too happy with Garth though.

This is heart-pounding activity. Where did he go? If he is still in the USA, he can be arrested as long as he isn't in the embassy. I doubt his two partners know where he is.

William was strictly working alone..He bailed on his two partners and knew exactly how he was going to escape. As to where? That's a good question but I can guarantee that Garth will be on his tail regardless where it leads him. He's not one to try to lasso the bull and let it get away. I am thriled that you enjoyed it... The last chapter is in the works... Either tomorrow or Saturday. Hope you love it!
