Forget the dashes and spaces, for me this is all about word choice, pacing and contrast. You have accomplished these masterfully. Your pacing is slow and deep and meaningful. It forces us to hold and linger on every joyful and painful word that you have chosen so perfectly to capture these deep and powerful emotions. This is and incredible piece. You had me in the beauties of love and in the bleeding depths of the love lost. A masterful work of art. Very well done!

I'm so glad my emotion was tangible for you! That was my goal. I wanted my emotions to bleed through as vividly as possible, and for the reader to be able to almost feel my pain themselves. Sounds like I was successful!

This poem is so deeply emotional. I could feel the warmth of love and the cold reality of heartache. For me that really pulled at the heartstrings. I love how you build up the feeeling of happiness - only to shatter it with the realization of loss. Truly a touching piece!
