An out-of-the-box approach.
Love the analogy you made between the fall of Eva ( and Adamo) and the season Fall when trees and vegetation lose their leaves .
Leaves fall, decompose and decay just like Eva and Adam did after they ate from the Tree of knowledge.
They became mortal and eventually they died and their bodies decomposed.
