A purple bedside cabinet. That is an odd choice of color for a man. Maybe it's more of a dark cherry color, considering how some wood looks when polished.
I wonder if Oliver has some kind of motion-activated security device Danielle didn't see. Danielle picks the hide-in-the-closet-wardrobe as the tried-and-true back-up, but I might have slid under the bed instead. She thinks the space underneath might be full up for storage, but I would have checked anyway, since there could have been a clue or something strange there as well. Even a really large ball of dust might have suggested something. This chapter is short but has plenty of action.

Oh my goodness! Wonderful pace here as she decides what to do. And then to decide to hide in the wardrobe and relive her trauma again is palpably poignant. I could practically see Oliver lying there with his hands behind his head and commanding her to come out. Excellently done, Jacob. Debbie
The way (that) he's walking...

Her curiosity did get her in trouble. The memory of Oliver in a bloody shirt isn't one she should mention to him, but it is a good reader hook to ratchet up the interest. Hopefully she can avoid confessing why she was in his room, but he seems to be able to make her make her say things she doesn't want him to know.

What is Oliver up too? I do NOT trust him at all. Nobody knows Danielle is in his room. How did he know it? I have so many questions. I really like this story. I'm still wondering what was up with Callum.

Wow, Jacob, way to ratchet up the intensity and suspense. How did he know she was there, and what's he going to do? This is more than creepy, though it is surely that as well. As I know by now you aren't planning to make comments on my review, I'll just write away about my thoughts. This is truly good writing, and I'm sure anyone who has been involved at any level with a cult, can relate. If they haven't, then they are about to learn.
Take care,
Rhonda

He must be physic. How did he know she was there? It sounds as if he expected her be there. i can imagine her dread and horror of being found snooping in his room. It is odd the drawers would be empty.

Does he have cameras watching her? How did he know she was there? And he's so calm...just going to have a chat.... Not me! I'm gone and off the property! But for some reason Danielle (Grace) just keeps coming back for more. Great job!
