Thank God you came through Helene, regained power and can share this poem on what love is --
Beautifully presented, with your own photographs, and very much focused on:
"A spark enlightening
the dark in the heart
of another."
I can only imagine those in need after Helene reaching through these dark moments, days and weeks and experiencing the power of "Love thy neighbor!!

Recoveries, if at all, will take years. A three mile stretch of Interstate 40 was dumped into the river. Towns were flushed like t.p. after use.
God looked after us when just 20 miles away ruined prevailed. Thanks for the review. Hope you are well.

Hello Tom,
It would probably behoove us to look within and do a spiritual self check to see how we're doing compared to the command to love one another. Loving someone is a sacrificial event, especially as we get older and more involved in our own lives. Thanks for sharing.

Well done Tom, I am pleased to see that the main point of love in your poem is that it is indeed "other-focussed", and not on what the individual can get out of it him- or her-self. And also that true love is often sacrificial. Best wishes for your entry.

I think scripture that men have seemingly been able to lay one's life for, but the difference being that Jesus laid His life down for His enemies, it's tough to lay down one's life for someone's enemy do you think? I've written poems about it, beautifully written, blessings Roy
