Oh my goodness, this is a very powerful nonet and rather scary. We all know that North Korea is ruled by a madman and everyone wants to leave and live in the South. It is crazy to keep all these people captive against their will. If there is a war there can be only one winner and the death toll will be high, a poignant and chilling post, love Dolly x

it does seem that they are closer to a war than ever before. South Korean just unveiled new misiles (non-nuclear) that can hit targets throughout the North. The Northern government is under tremendous pressure and recent record flooding has not helped matters. the government has been executing government officials involved in the flood diaster recovery for not having sufficiently prepared for record floods. and South Korea was also hit by record floods and the worst heat in historical records not to mention they are getting dengue and malaria and in the north cholera and of course COVID has not gone away. situation is dire and I am due to go back next month!!!!

The intensity in this poem is striking. You really captured the gravity of the situation between North and South Korea. The imagery of war plans being "dusted off" makes me feel so uncomforable. It's a chilling reminder of how fragile peace can be. Powerful work!
