As a four-hour-a-night sleeper (not to worry; this is just how I'm wired; I'm not an insomniac; just high octane...), I am very familiar with the burning ball that gets quickly replaced with the new orb of morning! Very artistically worded, and I love the artwork you chose for it, as well. Good luck in the Free Verse contest!! xo

Your poem is nice about an orb.
Your picture is beautiful and the way you wrote your poem is very nice. It looks like a bell.
Good luck with your free verse poem.

Very nice!! I like the way you have described the setting of the sun and the rising of the moon in a fresh and creative way. It's a thoughtful and reflective poem. Best wishes for the contest.

A beautiful free verse for the contest here -- your words of reflection on the sun and the moon and the passing of the day are well-spun -- thank you so much for sharing and best of luck in the contest!

What a beautiful poem! I love the imagery of the "burning ball" falling into the horizon. I could feel a sense of loss reading it. I love how you shared positivity in the face of darkness - so beautifully shared. For me this is a reminder to enjoy the ups (and downs) of life.
