A beautiful free verse for the contest here -- your words help the reader recall the freedom that can be felt on the hooves and sounds of the wild horse herds -- thank you so much for sharing and best of luck in the contest!

Your poem has such beautiful imagery. There is nothing as beautiful as horses running just because. One day I was standing in my front yard. Suddenly 5 horses crested the hill in the field across the street from me. They were running, manes and tails flying. I was absolutely mesmerized. Till my senses returned and I realized horses should not be running loose around here. A moment later, three desperate humans crested the hill trying to catch them. Lol. Sorry....your poem sent me down memory lane.
Beautifully done and much enjoyed!

What a beautifully written poem! I love the way you share the beauty of nature through the imagery of galloping horses. I love your word choices like "manes flowing" and "galloping in unison". I could picture them in my head! I was transported with your words to the beautiful landscape.

A very lovely description of wild horses running free. We can feel the movement and grace of these majestic creatures as they travel in their natural habitat with the lead stallion. Best of luck in the contest. Evi

This was a beautiful piece of free verse. I don't know if it's literal or if there's a deeper meaning behind this, but I enjoyed it either way. Thank you for sharing, and best wishes to you.
