Absolutely love the appeal to that much neglected sense of smell here! :-) Thanx so much for sharing today and best of luck to you in the competition! ;)

Thanks Yvette!
My ranking was only 4th so I earned zero FS monies for my effort. I thought it was good, but apparently the other voters did not like the smell (-(

Ciao poet, you now have two votes.
It's a particular scent and I love it.
In Summer it's not as strong but the rain enhances it.
During my walks in my pine forest, I found many years go, an area where super mini conifers grow.
I collect them each year and spray them with golden paint..they are very decorative.

The descriptions in this poem were great. You also got the syllable counts right for the writing prompt. I also liked the picture you supplied. Thank you for sharing, and best wishes to you.

Caress wouldn't be the exact word I would use...but allergies play a big part and sneezing. I do love the scent of the pines but they don't like me. LOl

Carol,
I sympathize with your allergies. Dust or animal dander is now my biggest bugaboo. I no longer get those sneezing fits since I have someone cutting my lawn. The pines have a delicious scent even if it has not rained.
Smiles back to you for your compliment.
