Thank you for sharing this pumpkin patch poem with us. I have no clue why, but this poem reminded me of a book I used to read to my first graders, "Spookley the Square Pumpkin." It's a fun story. I enjoyed your entire presentation.

Gypsy,
A good one for the early days of Autumn! Although the artwork is a bit Halloween-like eerie, the message and presentation are clear.
Of course, carved pumpkins in some cultures ward off evil spirits (-; The pumpkins in the field are faceless.

Well, this felt like fall. The crisp description and it dusts off the residue of summertime. This was a very festive feeling poem. A big welcome to the upcoming season. Great job. Gretchen

Gypsy,
I like the abstract words of your Autumn poem.
Faceless pumpkins, soon to be carved into jack o lanterns.
It's chilly here tonight, Autumn's first night. As I read this,
I look forward to all the wonders of the season.
I love your hauntingly-beautiful photo.
Best wishes, Gypsy.
Have a great week and Autumn too.

A delightful autumn/pumpkin special haiku. Love the image of your satori, faceless pumpkins, and the middle line so cleverly unites the verse with an evocative dusting off of the fruits* of autumn.
Having put 'fruits' I thought I'd better check and they are in fact classified as fruits, not vegetables.
Thanks for sharing, Gypsy. Debbie

I just put fruits of autumn and the wondered then if pumpkins were fruits or vegetables. And they are in fact classed as fruits.

Another fine poem, Gypsy------and it's hard to believe it's already autumn, with the most consequental election of our lifetime looming later in the fall

Fall is a colorful time of the year and I'm already seeing pumpkins although nothing has changed here yet. I like you Haiku's You definitely capture the essence of the season and your work is beautifully illustrated.

I like it! Those "faceless pumpkins" do need some dusting off. But probably the wind added more dirt and leaves in the process. But the bottom picture shows that the pumpkins got some scary faces!
