Yes, there's a lot of poor journalists spreading bad information out there. I can't count the number of pieces I've read rife with poor skills and poorly edited. But the good ones, those that check their facts, stand behind what they write, and acknowledge/correct their mistakes have skill and courage. We need more of that. The rest is up to us. I would recategorize this from General Fiction to Philosophy/commentary. I think it shares the author's opinion of the state of journalism right now very well. It has gone downhill and is deep in untrustworthiness.

For the most part I trust the real journalists to give a true story and not an opinion-based piece of garbage. What I don't trust is a man who claims that everything said about him is fake if he doesn't like what is being reported. It's not fake news, it's unflattering news!
