So true that "good old fashioned fun" is rare these days and it's too bad that our children and grandchildren are so immersed in their digital spaces and miss out on healthy ways to have fun. Great poem for the picture!

This poem brings back a lot of memories. When I was a kid every fall the carnival came to our little country town along with a opportunity for the famers and homemakers to show off their farm animals and produce and maybe win blue ribbons. We called the Dairy Show but the carnival was the part we kids loved.

I know their really old fairs and traditions have been going on in Europe for awhile now, ours shutdown in the coved time, but then so many things did then, such a beautifully written post June, blessings Roy

I always enjoyed being able to go to a county fair or to a state fair when I was younger. I wish I could still go, but it's just impossible for me to do today with having to walk with a walker all the time and most of the county fares are on dirt so I just can't go. Your poem is lovely and I enjoyed very much listening to it. Pat.
