A tool I find invaluable when writing is the grammar-checker bot called Quillbot.com. Many people I've mentioned this to say they don't like using a bot, but I can't understand what their hesitation is. It will point out all the things you mentioned and more, and I've found that the more I've used it, the less I have to use it, because I've learned so much about grammar and punctuation from it that I don't make as many mistakes anymore. I still use it, though, because I invariably make a few.
The free online version of Quillbot will fix only grammar and spelling. It may point out awkward sentences or phrases but won't suggest improvements for those. You only get that with a paid subscription.
I've found this to be more reliable and accurate than what FanStorians suggest, which I don't always agree with.

I use a program on our office computer as well, but for the little things that I don't catch or repeatedly do wrong, this is a great place. Anyway, thank you for the nice review and the advice. Gretchen
