I'm so sorry, Beth, I've not kept up with your story. I am going to read a few today and some tomorrow. Marsha shouldn't believe him; if he owned up to doing it once, he's done it many times. If he loved her and the kids as much as he says he does, he would make time for them. And why is he really going away for the weekend? Hmm, don't trust him. :)Sandra xx

Thank you, Sandra. I've so far behind I'll never catch up so If you can get to everything I understand. Don't feel you have to write a review if they're not active, but I do appreciate that you did.

This was great, I could feel the tension with every paragraph, makes me want to keep reading, and this fiction is different from your memoir, good job

A wife knows if her husband is cheating. Plus, once she thinks that, she will continuously look for suspicious things. Unfortunately, children between the ages of 12 and 16 are idealistic. They believe mommy and daddy should stay together no matter what. They should work everything out. If Marsha says anything to the kids, they'll think she is the trouble maker. Daddies are always special and right. Great story.

Thank you for the review. I agree. A wife knows but she keeps hoping she might be wrong.

If a wife has suspicions that her husband is cheating it often turns out to be true Beth. It is a horrible feeling to be betrayed and we don't want to believe it, but in the end we have to face the reality of it. Another fine chapter in your story Beth, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

Well, I'm not sure if Trenton is a cheater or not, but I feel for him either way, since once a women gets something in her mind she isn't likely to leave it alone. LOL. This comes from a twice married guy who was never unfaithful, but was accused by both wives more times than I could count.
Thanks for sharing.

I guess that's what happens when you're too handsome. LOL It works both ways, Men can be pretty jealous and suspicious as well. Thank for the review.

I wouldn't know about that handsome part, its been too long ago to remember. These days, I avoid mirrors so that I don't have to see that old man looking back at me. Yes, insecurities have a tendency to reek havoc on relationships.

You write very well, Beth. I was engrossed in both the chapters you have written for this story. It is heart breaking to feel the emotions that are roiling and the hurt that comes with them. Well done!!

Thank you, Melissa I'm glad I never had to experience the heartbreak of having someone I loved cheat on me. It has happened to some of friends. One of this inspired this story.

Well written. It sounds like Marsha needs the services of a private investigator - bad. And alcoholism counseling would definitely be in order, but she would have to convince Trenton that he needed it.

I'm glad you're returning to these character's. There are still lots of red flags about Trenton I don't like and it seems Marsha isn't quite willing to believe what she is seeing. Another excellent piece, Beth, I enjoyed reading it.

Good for you to continue this book! Most of the First Chapter entries don't but you did! And I was surprised that Marsha was so direct with her suspicions instead of investigating first. I was also surprised the Trenton was so quick to confess a one-night stand. Still there is no show of affection - hugs, goodbye kisses etc. so I don't really feel like love is there.

Typo in your notes:
She and Trendon are the parents of four children (Trenton)
Maybe you could give us a cast of characters at the end.

Thank you, Helen. I'd like to continue this story. My daughter is pushing me to get back to the two books about my life and the one she is in. We will see.

It doesn't sound as if he is as innocent as he is trying to make himself out to be. Perhaps as well as alcohol issues, and fidelity issues he also has lying issues. She will keep going to find the truth, and rightly so. He is not trying very hard to keep his marriage alive and well. Best wishes for your story.
Wendy.
