I like the clear difference in meaning, it's easy to follow and understand, and a different feel is achieved. Perhaps the beginning line didn't make so much sense reading bottom-up, but that may just be Me

I like reading your reverse poem. It is also called a palindrome poem. You are lost and then you know you can or will change in time.
I like the instructions you gave the reader.
Your picture, font, colors, and style are very nice.
Good luck with your poem.

This is very clever, it is indeed, a story that unveils itself very well indeed, in reverse or from the beginning, this is beautifully written my friend, I remember a song, love is good the second time around, so it certainly agrees with, beautifully written, blessings Roy

great reverse poem. It reads well either way and touches upon a difficult topic to write about finding love after going through a bitter divorce after love faded away.

    Jake,

Thank you for your review. I appreciate and value your comments.
You will be pleased to know that though my marriage did end in divorce it was an amicable separation. My former wife and I have remained very good friends over the 17 years we've been apart.

    All the best,

Awesome! I am not a poet and would never attempt to write a poem, let alone have it give two meanings when read from bottom to top. It's beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
Smiles, Carol

This was good up through:

"I don't believe/

it will happen."

After that, you lost the reverse meaning and it reads optimistically both ways. I suggest ending there.

The first line also needs to be nixed or fixed for this to work.

Really good work on the rest of it though. Fix this and message me back, and I will add a star.

Regards,

🦍

    Simian,

Thank you for you review. I noted your comments and made a few revisions to correct the reverse meanings read from the top and from the bottom.

There are still a couple issues with it, I think. It hurts my brain to try to edit these things.

    1) at the beginning, I think one of these lines has to go for it to work properly, or you need to add something between them

-I am lost, and it is certain.
[e.g. you could put "AND" as a line between them]
    -Happiness is a distant dream.

    2) problem here: it has the same meaning backwards -

    But though I may feel/

I am not worthy of love/

Still, there is no denying <= try something like: "although I tell myself"

And BTW, on the middle line, you can say "unworthy" instead of "no worthy". It's just a little smoother easier to read that way.

    3) I'm getting hung up on this line: => those feelings will someday end. <= why, because when reading backwards it is unclear whether hope or despair is going to end. I'd suggest saving the word "hope" just for the end as indicated below.

    4) you need to end on a reverse statement of the first line for this to work, such as "there is hope", and then the line before it have something negating it, eg "I don't believe"

Make sure to read through the whole thing. I think if you fix all this, it will work.

Thank you for your helpful suggestions. I agree these changes will help resolve those two troubled areas with respect to the reverse reading from top to bottom and from bottom up.

This is quite an accomplishment. Bravo!!
I read it top to bottom and then bottom to top as instructed. I wasn't sure it would make sense both ways, but happily, it did.

Well done.
Blessings
Janet
