Hi Gypsy. I am especially fond of 'The Raven' and think that Poe's creativity, rhymes and meter are masterfully used to bring a bit of spooky to a relatively 'benign' theme. For a Halloween poem, it's not very spooky. I borrowed his cadence and meter and wrote a poem a few years ago. So fun. Great job on this one.

I love 'the Raven' poem. Edgar Allen Poe's Poetry was beatifuly composed and mysterious...sometimes creepy. Dean kuch read the poem to me.... it was wonderful. He loved the way Poe wrote and Dean followed his style.
Thank you very much, Melissa

That raven's eyes look shifty. My youngest son, Stevenw as an avid reader. His favorite authors were, Shakespeare, Dr. Suess, and Edgar Allen Poe. He used to call Poe, the psycho dude from Balitmore. I never really understood Poe's poetry. Thank you for sharing your talent with us.

Another fine poem, Gypsy....a part II poem, a continuation of the great Poe's masterpiece. He was one freaky dude, that's for sure. His mind was a scary place, that's for sure

This is well written poem based on Poe's Raven. It is one of the better follow ups or continuation perspectives that I have read to date. It is expressive and descriptive while meeting the criteria of the Imayo poetic form.
Well done, very creative.

This is a great poem Gypsy. The Raven will certainly live on forevermore.
I'm having a little trouble with my entry. Can't seem to get it to flow well.
I like the second stanza the best.
Awesome job!

Yes, I like his work. Did you know he suffered from depression? His death was sad and mysterious.
Thank you very much, big sister.

Poe was the Stephen King of his time. Setting images of supernatural and terrifying things in people's minds. His writings will live on. Your poem was a wonderful tribute to the late great Edgar Allen Poe. Gretchen
