    Hi Lindsey,
Thank you so much for the review!! I have a favorite character, but he hasn't appeared yet, lol. Things are about to take a change back to fantasy.

I'm sorry I missed this last one, Rhonda, I'm having a few problems and won't be on here much for a while, but I will try to keep up with yours and a couple of other novelists.
Now Eudora is sorry for going so far, and poor Phoebus will not remember who he is. That was really over the top! Eudora has now seen how far her father will go, it has taught her a good lesson. But all to late. Well done, my friend. I'm really enjoying your story. Love and hugs, Sandra xxx

Rhonda, This is a very well written chapter. You used great descriptive words and very good imagery from the artwork and from your words as well. You have to be really smart to write a poem about this kind of thing. Thanks for sharing. love and blessings, Teri

I'm with you all the way on this one! Beautifully written, and easy to visualize. It fits in smoothly with our understanding of the personalities of the Greek gods.
Little things I noticed: "He wanted the life he had now, not one of the useless playboy type with no real function in life," could tightened by losing "...in life." at the end, since it's repetitive? Also, "...prophesied he would when he was born..." could be misread, so might be better if reversed, so it's clear it's the prophesy that happened when he was born, not what he would do.
Volatile is misspelled.
I can't wait for the rest of this one. It's not a genre I usually read, but I really enjoyed this.

I can't imagine Zeus even caring about any of his children from the stories I have read. He was a philanderer and often impregnated many other females including Leda, the swan, I think. So I find it so hard to believe that he would be wanting to avenge his daughter's pride or even work on a book of physics. Lol. That's cute. But the end result seems very much like the calamities that Zeus left behind. I'm sure Phoebus will overcome the situation as all the mythological heroes do.

    Hi Helen,
Thank you so much for the review, my friend. I often take liberties with the gods, as you've seen so far. I tend to make them fit my stories, lol. I needed a reason for Phoebus to be turned into a Centaur.
    Thanks for following!!

Hi Rhonda, this is a brilliant chapter. Zeus is at fault, his temper getting the better of him. But Phoebus is not without.hos faults either.
How I enjoy this story! Now onto what comes next. A big hug, Ulla xcx

    Hi Ulla,
Thank you for the six stars and for the review, my friend. You are only the second person to remark on Phoebus' behavior. It is one of the threads. The punishment didn't fit the crime, but he was being an arrogant jerk to her, lol.

    Big hugs,
    Rhonda

Hello Rhonda,
A six star chapter for sure. As man created the Greek gods, so too, they have all the foibles and faults of mankind. Perhaps Zeus some could use anger management therapy or maybe a pill or two.
And Phoebus could use some counseling himself.
"... not just with Eudora, but with any other woman. He would lose his independence, self esteem and ultimately, his horses." A strange view of marriage. Eudora is better off without him. :)
Perhaps Phoebus got exactly what he wanted, though not in the way he wanted.
The next chapter should be interesting. Centaurs are interesting creations.
Fortunately, it wasn't the body of a man with the head of horse. Neigh!
Best wishes.
Robert

    Robert,
Thank you so very much for the stellar 6 star rating.
As usual, you caught was so many missed. Since I've had Phoebus as such a positive character in the last book, they overlook his cavalier attitude that lead to his punishment. Maybe the punishment was extreme, but it tends to happen at times when a child whines to a parent with power. They will react to protect their image as much as their child.

You're right, the horse should have been the head, lol.

    Thanks again,
    Rhonda

Talk about someone not getting what she wanted. Eudora just had to tell her Daddy how disappointed she was and blamed Phoebus. She certainly doesn't want a Centaur for a boyfriend. It just wouldn't look good on her.

Hehe, yes, that certainly cut into their relationship!! That's okay, he's about to start a new life...if only he could remember why.

Thanks for the six stars, my friend!!

When the father who loves you too much, great caution has to be observed because the wrong idea formed by your childish complaint could result in the worse action imaginable, as was the case in this incident. It definitely serves as a warning to the wise and an even bigger warning to the unwise.

Thank you for the lovely six stars, my friend!! I am so glad you're going to read this book as well. I always look forward to your perspective on the chapters.
I was telling another reviewer that a similar situation happened at my school where a student complained to her father about a teacher not being fair, so he came rampaging and caused all her teachers grief and they weren't even the ones that hadn't treated her fairly. She was so upset she's told him anything.
I didn't base the chapter on it as I already had it written, but I thought it funny how life imitates art. And, I've seen it before.

Yes, we must carefully consider the possible ramifications of telling a parent, or husband about a situation that is not fully understood. Especially if we are emotional at the time.

Yes, you definitely got the point. I've seen it many times, maybe not with someone who can turn someone into a Centaur, but definitely one who can cause problems for them.

Excellent story. It served the spoiled brat right but wasn't fair to Phoebus. Your story has captured my attention, and I will follow it to the end. Great writing.
