This is well-written and cute. I liked the internal monologue of the dog. I imagine this is pretty much what most dogs are thinking in similar situations. I did notice one typo.

This story is absolutely delightful! Rufus's personality shines through. His internal monologue are so entertaining, especially his dramatic reactions to the steak and potatoes. I love how you've captured his determination and his dreams of canine royalty!
