Thank you for sharing this club entry with us. I understand that the father, who gave this child the gun has also been brought up on charges. I also understand that people were aware that this child has violent tendencies. Children should not have access to gun.

Yes, the parents are charged with 2 murders, so far, and the kid was posting disturbing posts online. It's so sad for the victims and their families and friends, it's a tragedy.

This was a very sad and tragic day in our nation. Unfortunately, we have had too many of these days caused by the senseless shootings by individuals with automatic guns who loose them on our children. Gun reform is desperately need in this country. Thanks for sharing.

This is a traumatic piece, relatable by many in this day and age. I'm not sure why anyone would buy such a weapon for a child. Thank you for sharing.

It's just crazy that the father actually bought his son a gun when the FBI was there just months before warning him about the violent messages that the kid was putting online. This makes me so mad! Sigh. This absolutely has to stop!

The parents gave beel charged for two of the four murders. It's so sad and scary. I worry about Atticus.

Pretty disturbing on every level you presented, including the (deliberately) horrendous picture. Life definitely did not improve with the invention of the gun. I, like you, do not have anything against responsible gun owners or their right to bear arms, but in the hands of the wrong people - though I guess that's the case with anything, right? fire, knives, rocks, arrows - they become tragedies waiting to happen.
Sad and evocative, Gypsy, but very well done. It was a solid, cogent presentation, not a "rant." I respect that very much. xoxo

It is such a sad thing that people are not educating their children about the danger of guns. And are allowing guns to be available to those children so that they can use them to other children. When I was in high school, which was over 60 years ago, every boy in the high school had a gun in the back of their pick up and they never once thought about using it on fellow students.
