I always read The Emperor's New Clothes to my first graders. They always giggled when I did. After the story, I'd ask questions to guide their thinking as what the Emperor's problem was and the people who watched. They eventually got the message. Thank you for sharing.

I liked the story when I was little and thought it was funny but interesting.
Thank you very much, Barbara.

How could I resist your Hans Andersen tale. And how apt for this fake masquerader! A wonderful combination of prose and poetry. I should know, but sadly don't, what the Art of the Deal is. Thanks for sharing, Gypsy. Take care Debbie

The Art of The Deal is trump's book ...I think it's the only one. He didn't write it, he has the attention spand of a toddler, he had it written for him.
Thank you very much 💓 😊

I'm with you Gypsy B. Rose. I'm not going back either. I like your Haibun. I didn't know for sure you lived in the Us but after reading this I have assume you did. The story of Emperor's New Clothes describes him perfectly. He does seem to be aware he is without clothes. His Maga supporters have to make him feel special.

Gypsy,
I am totally in agreement with you for this Haibun post. Not quite sure that the majority of the FS community will agree with you - their loss, not ours!
Do like how you weaved in so many of Trump's traits. Regret that you did not include anything about his outlandish hair or complexion LOL
The Art of the Deal reference is perfect!

This haibun, The Emperor's New Clothes, has the proper formatting and reassigns the focus of the story to the present wanna-be-again leader who is the tool for our enemies.

Lol! You did a great job with your political commentary. How fun that you that you alluded to the Hans Christian Anderson's famous story and made it applicable to today's politics!

LoL yes, I had fun with this one. I loved Hans Christian Anderson stories. Some were very scary. It's so silly... the story, not trump.
I am happy you like it. Thank you, Big Sister
Love 😘😊😁
