Thank you for sharing this fun contest entry with us. I'm pretty sure it's a metaphor but won't go farther than that. LOl I enjoyed reading this entry and want to wish you luck with the contest.

His trumpet is orange
he blows it out his rear
his face turns..well...orange
the people all jeer
I know it's bad but whenever I try to write about that particular foul creature it comes out stained and gross like him. but your poem is awesome and is plain to identify the person being written about using only your clues. Great job

I enjoyed your poetic response. And yes, I did try to curb how strongly I feel about this contemptible man.

Lol. With the orange cock's comb, I can't help but think of a certain presidential candidate who does not know what it means to act presidentially. Great rhymes! Best wishes in the contest!

You got it! Hard to believe we have this contemptible man running for president.

An excellent entry for the rhyming poem contest. It is full of sardonic wit, and I enjoyed the skill displayed by presenting your thoughts using the metaphor of a rooster blowing his own trumpet. Extremely clever. Best wishes for the contest.

I really enjoyed this lightly-veiled political snapshot.
The first two stanzas describes the self-centered sounds made by this Trumpeter.
I especially like the comparisons made in stanza 4.
Your concluding stanza makes it very clear nothing played is new.

lol This is a wonderful description of someone so full of himself - he has to brag, brag, brag. In the end, it's all hot air and noise. Nothing great whatsoever...
