My, oh my! that Riley needs to start taking care, because if he believed Dodie Rae did the dirty deed, then his life could be the next one to go.
I wonder how long her Grandmother is going to stay? Probably long enough to know that there will be no more deaths while she is there. Let's see what happens next! :)) Sandra

Her grandmother is wanting to protect her, so she may hand out a while. Riley needs to back off, but he won't. He doesn't have a clue what he's dealing with.
God bless,
Steve

Somehow I missed this chapter, Steve, but I noticed you posted it on my birthday, and we had a big celebration then, so perhaps I can be forgiven.
The heat is turning up on Dodie Rae, who is definitely in the police's crosshairs despite their assurances she's not a suspect. I like the way Mama is insisting on talking to Dodie Rae. She definitely needs some guidance here if she wants to get control of the situation. She would do best to listen to Mama.
It will be interesting to see what the DNA turns up.

Yes, Dodie Rae should listen to her, but it appears she isn't, lol. Thank you, Jim, for the awesome review. I am behind on my reviews, big time. I'm off Friday and Saturday this week and hope to get caught up.
God bless,
Steve

Silly rabbit, Trix is for kids!!! When Dodie Rae is the beast, it is the beast's blood on the knife not her's. I wish I could get some of that stuff. I have a few people I would like to visit. Tell your mom Happy Birthday from me. I am glad you both did okay. Good writing. Karen

Tell her she needs to quit watching the men and play the part of a decrepit little old lady, she'd win more. I did. hahaha Oh, my body is pretty wrecked, but my brain is on overdrive. Are her eyes green bu any chance? Thanks so much. And, is Matrix one for your favorite movies? Karen

I love when werewolves get the power to cure wounds. But they can be killed sometimes.
I like the inclusion of Stephen King's "Needful Things". I love that book.
Your story is engaging and I love scary stories. Good character development. Well done

Yes. Needful things is probably my favorite. Thank you for the fantastic review, Gypsy. I have some excellent chapters ahead that will explain a lot.

I am thoroughly enjoying this character, Dodie Ray. I love her relationship with her grandmother. A lot of dialogue moves this chapter, not a bad thing, but I think a little more filler might be warranted. I didn't know the officers were onto her. I was under the impression that Helen Morgan wasn't distressed over her abusive husband's death. In fact, she seemed happy about it. Who talked? What does Bay Lynn know? I'm hooked. Does Dodie, our avenging angel? (devil) get caught? Guess I'll have to wait for the next chapter.

Thank you, AliMom, for this excellent review. Yes, I need to add more narritive and less Dialogue, which will start happening in the next chapter. I'm slowly introducing more and more. I need to get comfortable in this area.
God bless,
Steve

Once again, this is a very good story. I am curious what they find on the knife and the glass. Somehow, I feel they won't match because of the shifting she does.
homicide that occurred last evening at the Reynoldse's home (Reynoldses' home)

Thank you, Barbara, for the excellent review and help. Your insight on this story is remarkable. I love how this character takes control and writes the story herself. It seems I'm just a conduit, lol.
Thank you for continuing to follow. I always look forward to your reviews.
God bless,
Steve

Well, they might very well think they have Dodi cornered, but it's been my experience that a wild animal refuses to make the trap easy. Thanks for sharing.

Oh yes, they're closing in on her. And her Grandmother isn't going to be putting up with any nonsense. This chapter flowed like a dream with excellent dialogue and thought processes. The only edit would be Reynolds(') on 2 occasions. Well done, Steve, on this enjoyable read. Take care Debbie

Thank you, Roy, for this incredible review, my friend. Time will tell about the fingerprints and DNA. A knife with Dodie's blood was left at the crime scene.
God bless,

That's a brilliant way to end your chapter on. I liked that no matter how strong Dodie Rae is, her mother can be counted on to bring her back down to earth. Another excellent pacy chapter in your novel, I really enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to the next one.
