Your story hits the emotional chords on so many levels, especially for Linda...I lost my son 40 years ago, but the other day I was cleaning out old boxes and found a few of his toys....the memories flooded my mind and yes, the tears flowed. Great story!

What a moving story! It makes one think how important it is to have create a time capsule for our loved ones. I was impressed that Meg did her own renovation! But what a gift for Linda to travel back in time and see her daughter's time capsule. Best wishes in the contest!

I liked reading this story. The character names were very believable. I liked the details of the track medal and the Four Season Nestle cocoa cannister/tin. Also the yellow mums were a nice touch that Linda brings over. Awfully good entry for this writing prompt entry on renovations. Nice job.

This story reminded me of an old saying, 'If these walls could talk', yes there are so many inanimate objects that could probably share so much to write about, this was like a breath of fresh air, a wonderful post, offering nostalgia which we all possess in abundance, well done, good luck, blessings Roy
