This chapter is becoming ominous. I love the mystery you have created here. I'm thinking cult, possibly. Oliver is easy to like, but to me, this is dangerous. I'm intrigued, my friend.
Great job, Jacob.
God bless,
Steve

It sounds like some kind of retreat or sanctuary here but the mystery is still very much present and quite disarming. I find myself warming to Oliver but I don't think Callum will be. All clearly expressed and enjoyable. And we're left wondering about exactly who Ian was - very intriguing! Well done, Jacob! Debbie

Wow Jacob,
This chapter is getting more and more creepy. The mystery is still deepening and the scary factor increasing. We meet some new people, though you are doing a great job of keeping your character list down so people can keep up. Not my strong-suit, but its good to see someone who works it well.
Keep on keeping on,
Rhonda

Danielle seems anxious to meet the others who live here. Oliver is someone she seems a bit uncertain about. He seems to bring out some storng feelings. I may be wrong but this feels like it is some kind of cult. There are concerned about the enviroment. Aparently all the people are vegetarians. I don't have a problem with that because I don't really for meat either. I'm anxious to learn more.

A well written chapter. It is filled with intrigue and also has the classic signs that Danielle is getting involved with a commune or cult, depending on your POV. Now, the quest for answers to a mystery of why did my brother kill my parents is fair, but is it one most people young people would really undertake to this extent? Maybe, if they are different.

You are doing a good job of creating a somewhat creepy environment and Oliver comes across as rather odd. Telling everyone to leave is certainly a strange thing to do when she is coming to find about the people and their ideas.

It is some type of commune, but exactly what type. I can't wait to read more. This is very well written post.
He opens it for me, letting me step through first. (for a tighter read you can omit 'for me' It's understood)

It's too creepy for me! I'd be back in that car, and Callum would be driving us down that dirt road faster than a jackrabbit. They seem to want to extend their stay, and I think Danielle feels the creepiness but doesn't want to accept it either--at least for the moment.
