Wounded hearts are definitely a problem even with a beautiful harvest moon. This poem is very emotional. Thank you for sharing this poem and presentation with us. Wonderful job.

Makes me want to weep for the wounded heart. I can just visualize it.
I have to start writing more modern haiku as I'm still stuck in the 3 lines 17 syllables or less old school format. I truly enjoyed this!

Perhaps as the brightness of the harvest moon is quenched by the sea, the feeling of defeat and or surrender is that of a broken or wounded heart. Beautiful Haiku, that makes one think on many different feelings and emotions.

That's sad. I guess the autumn season with its beautiful moon sinking into the sea reminds the viewer that there is a sadness due to a broken heart. A story well told in a haiku!
