Hi gypsy, wonderful haiku about fall that is coming soon, and beautiful pictures depicting fall leaves. thank you for your information about the Eastern Box Turtle. So far I've only known about hibernating bears, thanks for describing this turtle's hibernation. Dove

Gypsy,

Thanks for the note about the (Eastern) Boxed Turtle. Without it, your Haiku did not register with me initially.

Good coloring scheme paired with your artwork!

Mark

I am looking forward to autumn. I love the crisp cool air, but especially love the beautiful rich colors of autumn. Your poem presented autumn perfectly. Thank you for making my day.

Oh, this one is absolutely fantastic! I also love the Author's Notes because I love the term "state of torpor." What a gorgeous Autumn day you depicted here with your unique and magical artwork. As always, the presentation is as beautiful as your word choice. xoxox

The connection of the turtle and Spring is evident in your allusions that is made between the two "agents" of nature. Very bright and beautifully illustrated Haiku.
Thanks for posting.RJ

I like the idea of "Spring waits with the turtle". I guess the turtle will know exactly when Spring will wake him up. It's so cool how some animals can hibernate and be restored in time for the new season!

Oh, turtles hibernate. I can feel the Fall lingering in the air. This is a majestic looking presentation! The picture matches the autumn words in fall foliage colors. Love this poem!

The author notes explains everything. Crisp Air! You did a marvelous job! Almost wish I was a poet. This is a beauty! Have a splendiferously day!

BOO!

It will be a long time before spring will visit us again and I feel sad about that as winter seems to be the longest season of all, a fine post, love Dolly x x x x x

for some reason i kept wanting to pause after the second line (instead of the third) -- could be just me, but thought i'd mention it...

still a great haiku
with cool imagery

thank you for sharing!

The satori is "catch-up " the juxtaposition is the turtle is slow.

    Thank you very much, Shelley
