To me if there's doubts then cancel the wedding. It's easier than a divorce. Thank you for sharing this contes entry with us. I enjoyed reading and want to wish you luck with the wedding.

Wow! Powerful message. We have all been there and most will likely be at some point in their life. However, if the feeling is there - it should not be fear, but love. Great poem, great meaning and a great message. Make sure it is the one before you jump!

I always thought when I was young that I'd rather be unhappily single than unhappily, married, if one believes that if marriage was forever, it is a lousy thing on this very good principle, but perhaps a good move to back out quickly, well done, blessings Roy

If Pride gets jitters on her wedding day. Every pair of shoes is too tight. Every dress is too tight.
Then you have to worry about a whole all the bridesmaids and made of honor look, but it could be matron of honor too
You just have to grin and bear it.

nicely done poem about a woman having second doubts about getting married on her wedding day. I would have also included the Groom's feeling and doubts as a dialogue perhaps with them both saying lets break up or doubling down and getting married despite their fears

Yes, more and more people, especially the Gen Y and Z have given up on marriage. I read somewhere that more and more of the 60 years and older are giving up on marriage.
On the other hand, what if it was only the proverbial Cold Feet (entering a new life) rather than being incompatible withe your husband to be?
