In one line you describe the perfect way to live. The picture gives the perfect imagery of the peace you describe. Good luck in the contest and thanks for sharing.

    Thanks, Marilyn.
For the record, my real intention when I said 'no destination' was to convey that I don't believe in any kind of afterlife!

Hi Steve
This does make me feel as peace reading it. No one knows but the big man upstairs what the future will be so no sense losing peace over it.
This is a very good one line poem for the contest and I wish you luck.

For the record, my real intention when I said 'no destination' was to convey that I don't believe in any kind of afterlife! So no big man upstairs for me.

The ultimate freedom, I am imagining. With every day filled with items to be checked off a To Do Today list, not having any encumbrances seems like the equivalent of a ten-scoop ice cream sundae.

Nice one-line poem here, replete with perfect picture to accentuate it. Best of luck at the polls with this! xoxox

Sometimes, I am so literal, I think I must be a third grader or something. Thank you for the very diplomatic way of making me read between your lines. For whatever it's worth, I still love the poem. xoxo

I am not sure how you managed to evoke such a splendid feeling of serenity in a poem of only one line, but you did, and I enjoyed it very much -- best of luck with the judges!

Quite like this one-line poem . Lovely image and the words are good. Always difficult to find a one liner with impact. Thanks for sharing and I hope you do well in the contest.

I think this probably how most of us would like to feel in life, it would be nice to just simply live and not have anything planned. I really enjoyed reading your piece and I thought your writing flowed really well. Good luck in the contest.

For the record, my real intention when I said 'no destination' was to convey that I don't believe in any kind of afterlife! Maybe that's what you meant by not having anything planned.

Ciao!

For those who love adventure, traveling without a destination must be a dream come true.

Unfortunately, I am a control freak and need to live in a world where there is order. I'm not keen on surprises. I need to follow a routine to feel relaxed.

I do envy free-spirited folks.

Luckily, I live in a mountainous area at 700 metres and enjoy a magnificent view like the one in the photo. (biggrin)

This one-line poem says it all! At peace, I travel on with no destination. I wish I could say this. I do find myself at peace at times but because I am in a wheelchair I have limits to how far or how long I can travel. Yet, I still can relate to this piece with its longing for the road with no destination and nowhere to go just enjoying the journey.
To me, that is the idea that's time has come to enjoy the journey whenever you travel on.

I had no idea you were wheelchair-bound. I admire anyone who copes with that kind of limitation.

That is the best kind of poetry when it is up to the reader to interpret it.
I saw it one way. Yet you meant it another way altogether.
I cope with being wheelchair-bound quite nicely.
    Take care, Steve.

This looks like a well orchestrated presentation! A One Line Poem which definitely qualifies for thus contest!

Maybe, humans are wanderers. They are virtual everywhere on this planet. They encroach the wilderness and the animals get the blame for human attacks! We tread on their turf. We even climb mountain tops for the thrill! Nice picture! Wish you a barrel of monkeys luck in this contest. To the victor goes the spoils. Bravo!
