What an excellent Teikei-shi poem - and the picture presentation has no possibility of not being the best ever - what a find! - got me laughing - Love your humor - rice and corncobs lol. -think I'll save it - Your poem has a good syllable count and rhyme - well written, thank you for sharing, needed a good laugh today - too funny - little legs trucking along full speed!!!

Thanks, Alan. The picture is Gypsy's. Since she's the facilitator of the Japanese Poetry Club, she presents a picture and teaches us about the form-of-the-week then let's us have at it!

Oh my word Rachelle,
there is almost a look of panic on this little guys face. This is priceless. I think this boy has been eating something more than rice to be this chubby. Thanks for sharing this great poem gal.
Blessings,
Tom

And thank you for the terrific review! This picture was supplied by Gypsy for this Japanese Poetry Club I'm in that she's facilitating. This picture is hysterical. Debbie Pope cracked me up by saying it looks like the woman who baked the gingerbread boy who ran away, and now she's chasing him. HAHAHAHA.

LOL I enjoyed reading this poem. It's very cute and adorable. I have a similar issue with my dachshund, Harley. His legs are only four and a half inches long. He loves to steal food. LOL

I bet he's fast, though! There's a daschund @ the park where I take Li'l Swish every day, and that little cutie is FAST!!

Seems to me, if the Japanese are going against their grain to allow rhymes in their poetry, the poems should be fun. This poem shows the extent of your writing skills and imagination. I like the internal as well as external rhymes.
The photo reminds me of the woman chasing the Gingerbread Boy. Very nice!

That picture is hysterical! I like the font you've chosen for this - it reminds me of Japanese, for some reason.

Well, my money is on "chubby" here - he looks pretty fast on his feet, and he seems to know his way around a rice bowl.!

I know writing these poetic challenges was a summer project for you; will you continue? You're doing great with them.

Have a wonderful, super-duper day, sicko.

I was asking myself that, too. I actually think I might. They've been very enjoyable, and I've learned a lot. I liked "he seems to know his way around a rice bowl." HAHAHAHAAH.

You couldn't possibly pair a photo better with your poem than you did here. It's absolutely hilarious. Between your words and the little boy's expression it's just a riot! This is one of my favorites of yours! And that's saying something!

Oh, honestly, Lori, NO ONE is better at the hearty, helpful, and complimentary review than you. Thank you for this. I can't take credit for the pic, though; that is all Gypsy, who's the facilitator for this club. But it was a fun one to help create something for, I'll definitely say that! Anyway, thank you for your sweet and lovely review. xoxox

Your poem is very clever and it made me laugh. The picture is so cute. I like that you called it fast food, and referred to to-go meals. Blessings. Carol

Thanks, Carol. Gypsy was the supplier of the picture, though. She's the facilitator for this club and gives us a picture and a Japanese poem form to do every week. This was a fun one, though, for sure!! xoxo

I like your fun pun in the title of "fast food". I'm guessing the little guy isn't too fast with his sumo-wrestler physique and the baby legs. Great entry to Gypsy's club challenge!

Thanks. I've had such fun this entire summer with the prompts she chooses for us. This picture is particularly hilarious.
