Thank you for sharing this rhyming contest entry with us. I enjoyed the story this entry told. In one area, I lost track of the rhyming scheme. I'm not sure the near rhymes worked. Maybe it was just me. Good luck with the contest.

I enjoy poems about the inhabitants of the Old West. You have done a remarkable job of characterizing El Diablo, the villain who made his name in Nevada. I definitely would not have liked to run into him. Rod

I do love a story poem, and this one about the very unsavoury El Diablo was a pleasure to read. Unfolding with a logical, unforced rhyme scheme, the words paint strong character traits and personality. Maybe you could also do further work delving into some of his escapades and eventually his (probably violent) demise. Thank you.
