Life is so beautiful when we stop to embrace the milliseconds of joy that otherwise would pass unnoticed. Oh, if only the human race could be so open and friendly! I'm still hoping... I love the photo! Beautiful new friends... This sort of behavior would stop wars!

Yes, if only.... Many thanks for this super review. It was a delight to see them approach each other, then choose to play together and be friends. I think Sunny was a bit amazed at the friendliness of the cat and its obvious desire to play with him, but he was very happy to join in.

I trust Sunny will NOT interpret this to mean ALL cats are this friendly! He'd get a hiss or a swipe from some, I'm sure. (If they'd only get to know Sunny, they'd never do such a thing!)

    SMILE...

How cute that these two saw friends in each other. A lovely story Wendy and well told in this Cinquain. We never know when our next friend will pop up.
Cheers

This five-line poem, A Few Beautiful Minutes, finds the historic enemies grabbing a stolen moment to nose kiss. It's great to see. Better than when the cat kisses the mouses.

Lol. Yes indeed! Thank you so much for the fun review. Yes, this kitten initiated the action, and they played together beautifully.

I have never seen a poem written this way. Thank you for sharing. I know there are many different ways to write poetry. I guess I am not that far advanced. Keep up the good work!

Thank you for this lovely review of my poem. It's not too difficult a format (If I can do it, anyone can, so give it a go!)

Beautiful, Wendy. Such a sweet scene, and your words so well reflect what is happening here. Unexpected, certainly. It's different when dogs and cats live in the same household, but a sudden encounter like this is rare and special given their frequent antipathy to each other in the wild.

But if any dog could develop a fondness for cats, it would be Sunny. I think he's found a kindred spirit in that cat.

Thank you for this lovely review. Yes, I too felt it was quite special for two who had never met to have such a gentle and beautiful time together. Many thanks.

Beautiful.
A cat and fig, normally do not get along (so it's said), but Sonny and his new friend defied the odds.

The picture is perfect for your poem and notes.

Thank you, Wendy for sharing something so simple but meaningful.

I really liked this poem. Animals can surely teach us things. I like the way the picture shows affection between the dog and the cat. I also like the words you used in the poem.

This is a short and sweet of friendship despite differences. Thanks for sharing the backstory. I'm glad the lost cat will be able to find her family again.

This is one of my favorite facets of your personality, Wendy: you always choose joy and find "lessons" with every situation with which you are ever presented. This is a beautiful poem - and true - and I love the Author's Notes, as well. xoxox

Thank you so much. A lovely review. They played together for 15 to 20 minutes so I was able to get video as well. It was very special.

Wonderful thoughts. Cinquain - another new poetry format for me to try. Thanks for the words and so true. We certainly could learn a lot from our furry friends. Thanks for sharing it. Have a great week and stay well.
