How many of those young people who got wild on a Saturday night live to regretted it on Sunday morning when they found out that they had done some awful things. Patricia.

Lol! Well, Patricia I am sure we have all been there once in our life. Thank you so much for your review. I really appreciate it!

This poem is fun and I almost want to sing it when I read it. It flows nicely. It's like the joy of being young, happy, and free spirited. When older people read this it will bring back memories of the joy of youth.

Honey bunch. The poetry is uneven in stanza length. Also, The rhyming pattern keeps changing. In order to establish flow, you must allow us to read a rhythm. Edit and I will come back and give a 5. Karen

Wow... I can hardly remember those wild and crazy weekends when we all thought life was for partying and we'd live forever with a song and a smile and (if we were lucky) a flirtation that flipped life on its head for a bit.
The days are long past. Thanks for the (distant) memories!

Shhh. I'm old enough to have attended Woodstock. (And I did)--- For ALL kinds of reasons I don't remember half of that...but It's a badge of honor, now to my kids and grandkids!
-
Oh, I wish I could have attended Woodstock. That must have been great!

I was fifteen and totally lying to my parents about where I was heading...
But it was SO worth it!

Well, I'm glad I grew out of those Saturday nights, they were so superficial. You captured them well in your clever poem - good rhymes and flow bring the memories back to the reader whether he likes them or not. kay

Your poem captures a carefree Saturday night so well! I love how you've created that lively atmosphere. The poem flows smoothly. I enjoyed the playful interactions with the waitress. So realistic! haha The way you end it is perfect. Great work!

Soo glad those days are over. Being around people who can't hold their liquor is tedious at best. This was pretty darned accurate if memory serves me. Drinking until everyone is either sexy or pretty or handsome. Drinking takes those pesky inhibitions away and allows people to make mistakes by the dozens. This was a fun poem. Gretchen

There's a lovely flow and a quick charming rhythm to this poem. I also like the rhymes.
I've never been into wild nights myself, but I understand other people can find them attractive.
Thanks for sharing.
