I don't know if there is a limit to how many words you can use but may I suggest that you end with the phrase disappointed it will end instead of disappointed to end?
It will make more sense that way. Otherwise, it seems like an incomplete sentence. Just my honest opinion.

Thanks for your thoughts. I can understand what your saying. To be honest, I was having some difficulty with my word choice. I couldn't get it to connect the way I was hoping to.
