This effectively captures the poignant moment of transition and emotion. The contrast between "New shoes" and "Little scholar starts school" highlights the milestone of starting school, while "Boo-hoos" and "Baby blues" convey the emotional difficulty of this change. I remember plenty of boohooing when I had to watch the little walk into school.
