Thank you, Karen. I will reveal the forensic outcome from the blood on the knife soon. You are close with the blood being that of the beast, but the twist is quite unique, I think.

My exhusband has a Harley bike. I used to ride with him, it was so much fun.
Your chapter is very graphic and erotic. It may be more than a sexual warning... there is choice that places the poem behind a page that tells the reader to accept going forward. It doesn't bother me but there are a lot of old people who would.
I wish there was such avenging heroine to kill women's abusers.

Thank you, Jim. I like the character Dodie Rae is coming. She's quite ballsy. Some feel her newfound confidence may get the better of her, but I think not, lol. We'll have to see what her Grandmother says, as she's not been in the picture for a while.

And, boy, this beauty-come-beast certainly doesn't take prisoners! The sex preliminaries are very explicit and even erotic up to a point (probably the cigar breath and lack of hygiene) but I wondered if this might have needed a stronger classification? And then the transformation into the beast is excellently done in its brutality and ugliness. This is revenge indeed and Dodie Rae's mission for abused women is clearly going to plan.

Excellent point, Barbara. I have an answer to the DNA question, but it comes in future chapters. With Dodie Rae's prior kill, Keith, she wondered why she wasn't covered in blood. There is a reason behind this; I will get to it soon. The knife was left at the scene. This will be the defining factor.

Thank you, Gretchen, for this in-depth review, my friend. I placed proper warnings, but I'm sure it will still happen. Only a handful of folks are following the story. I was apprehensive about the depth of this chapter. But, in reality, this is happening. Well, not the creature aspect of it.
